Cello Biennale: The great Sollima show - Giovanni Sollima, Ivan Karizna, Boris Andrianov + Kirstina Blaumane
Violoncelles Vibrez! Giovanni Sollima has been prominently present at almost every Biennale since 2008. Often with composers he himself rediscovered, such as Candelli and Costanzi, but also with his own compositions and arrangements. In 2018 he received the Anner Bijlsma Award. Arnold Marinissen is writing the new composition Whispering Angels for cello solo, piano and 'shadow octet' especially for Sollima.
