Cello Biennale: Never Give Up Maximilian Hornung, Alexander Warenberg and Phion
Turkish composer Fazıl Say called his second cello concerto Never Give Up: 'an outcry for freedom and peace'. A short and intense statement, played by Maximilian Hornung, preceded by a peaceful romance by Max Bruch.

Schumann's Cello Concerto and a Call for Freedom and Peace
Alexander Warenberg, winner of the first prize and the audience award of the National Cello Competition in 2016, plays the (perhaps) most beautiful cello concerto in existence, that of Robert Schumann. He does this with the orchestra Phion, with whom he already had such a close collaboration in 2022.
This concert will be broadcast live by the NTR on NPO Klassiek
