Keti Koti at Studio/K
On Monday, July 1, Studio/K celebrates and commemorates Keti Koti ('break the chains'). Reflect together on the legal abolition of slavery on July 1, 1863 in Suriname and the Caribbean part of the Dutch Kingdom and the long-lasting legacy of the colonial system. At the same time, this is a celebration of the wealth of commitment and resistance, through film, spoken word and a shared free meal.
