Open Jewish Homes – Resistance Homes
Open Jewish Homes is an opportunity to attend intimate memorial services across Amsterdam. The gatherings take place in the living rooms, attics or cafés of former Jewish residents and members of the resistance, where speakers will share stories of their remarkable lives. The event takes place on both Remembrance Day and Liberation Day (4 and 5 May).

Jewish tales of liberation in Amsterdam
At the free meetings, Jewish speakers will talk in-depth about their life before, during and after the Second World War, including the persecution they faced and their subsequent resistance and liberation. These stories will be accompanied by films, music, poems, photos and personal diary fragments. This year, the event is taking place across 37 unique locations.
