Moving documentary about a group of political and social activists who wage a battle with the help of murals and pursue their dream, a free country for everyone.

The documentary has received awards worldwide and has already been awarded sixteen times in the categories: 'Best first film', 'Best documentary' and 'Best female filmmaker'.

“We will paint up to the sky,�� says Chin Chin of the Brigada Ramona Parra. With the goal: a free Chile for everyone. This street art movement has been protesting against social inequality and oppression with murals since 1968. Sometimes at the risk of your own life. In the documentary ARMED WITH a BRUSH, three generations of this activist artist collective talk about their lives in vulnerable and candid interviews.

About sadness, loss, living in a dictatorship, choices, dreams and the future. As complex as Chile's history is, the documentary is also colorful. Documentary maker Nèma van Raalte takes you to the streets of today's Santiago, supported by socially critical Chilean music. The city is decorated with an array of murals, each with its own story. The generations of the street art movement change, but the struggle remains. And they have one thing in common: their love for Chile, for equal rights and for art.

The makers and organizers like to talk to the public about the importance of art in public space, the power of street art and having a common goal in general.
