Fascinated by the stark statistics, where sometimes youths as young as 13 are involved as perpetrators or victims, he aimed to go beyond these seemingly dystopian tales. He sought context in the urban landscape, complemented by vulnerable yet powerful portraits of youths striving to establish themselves as drill-rappers. This offers a unique perspective on the urban challenges that are becoming increasingly relevant in the Netherlands.
