Intimate flamenco poetry by two icons

In the afternoon there is Flamenco OFF-BEAT with exciting performances throughout the building by a new generation of creators from the vanguard of flamenco art.

Singer Estrella Morente and guitarist Rafael Riqueni give the living tradition of the cante jondo, the expressive and dramatic singing style within flamenco music, a grand stage. In an intimate recital, the two flamenco icons pay tribute to two unforgettable artists of the last century, La Niña de los Peines and Niño Ricardo.

Estrella Morente is the daughter of legendary singer and flamenco legend Enrique Morente, raised in the Albaicín, the Moorish quarter of Granada. Riquieni is one of the most sensitive guitarists after Paco de Lucía, with the classic, twinkling elegance of his native Seville in his strings. 'Estrella y Rafael' present their eponymous album for the first time outside Spain in the Main Hall.
