Playful duet

The playful duet of 2 young urban dancers, choreographed by Marco da Silva Ferreira, captures the inherent lightness and joy of dance. Inspired by the score of Schubert's Fantaisie in F minor D.940, Chlo�� Robidoux and Anka Postic, good childhood friends, take you on a journey of discovery through the various facets and gestural codes of house and classical dance in Fantasie Minor. The limited space of the outdoor location forces them to interact closely, which further challenges their creativity and possibilities.

They play with gender codes and choreographic clichés with infectious pleasure. Dressed in caps, white T-shirts, shorts and thick black boots, they move in synchronization across the stage, almost like in a boxing ring. But as the choreography progresses, it goes beyond just 'overcoming'; a profound emotional openness emerges.

House and hip-hop

Da Silva Ferreira unhesitatingly combines house and hip-hop, dancehall and classical, to give dance an urgent vitality. With Fantasie Minor, he creates a rite of passage between extremes, which is emphasized by Schubert's piece, the last one he composed before his death at the age of 31. The music, which is remixed with urban and techno, goes through various moods, constantly encouraging the dancers to balance between extremes.
