POP, ROCK & HIP-HOP
Rosie Lowe
For fans of: Jordan Rakai, SAULT

Steady work pays off. It’s something Rosie Lowe knows well; the London singer released her debut EP almost a decade ago, but it’s the past few years where her music has really been picking up steam. With an electronic sound that’s sultry, low-lit and endlessly sexy, expect Lowe to turn up the heat and turn down the lights when she rocks up in Paradiso this month.

Dizzee Rascal
For fans of: Stormzy, Skepta

Dizzee Rascal is a legend in grime. Both a critical and a commercial darling, his hits, from clasics like Bonkers and Dance Wiv Me, have shown off his deft knack for both hooks and humour. Now he lands at Melkweg – a perfect stop-off to win over new fans and old.

Beatenberg
For fans of: Vampire Weekend, Ten Fé

Joyful, euphoric pop with oodles of global appeal, Beatenberg’s sound is hard to pin down. Inspired by a small Swiss town in name but influenced by music from all over the world (and formed in South Africa), they tread through pop with a nod to the buoyant indie sounds of early 2010 and a lyrical finesse that’s academic in its breadth. Ones to watch if you like pop with a brain.

Sarah Klang
For fans of: First Aid Kit, Lana Del Rey

Known for lush melancholic ballads and a distinctive voice, Swedish singer-songwriter Sarah Klang is always memorable. Slotting somewhere between Phoebe Bridgers and Lana Del Rey, it’s Klang’s disarming vulnerability in her lyrics that set her apart. Ahead of her upcoming album Beautiful Woman, Klang takes to the Bitterzoet stage where vintage Americana blends with soft, Swedish soul.
