Monique Wilson appointed new director of amsterdam&partners starting September 1st

The supervisory board of amsterdam&partners has appointed Monique Wilson (1973) as general director. Wilson, along with the management team, colleagues, all partners and parties in the city, will further work towards a livable, attractive, prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive metropolis area of Amsterdam.

Monique Wilson is now working at the City of Amsterdam, where she serves as a director of the Communication department, responsible for communication within the municipality's administration and governance. In this political-administrative environment, she and her team built a communicative organisation and focused on strengthening the relationships between the administration and the municipality.

Before moving to Amsterdam, Wilson worked for the municipality of Almere as a marketing manager, building the city brand of Almere. Prior to that, she gained experience in communication, marketing, positioning, and image and reputation management in complex administrative organisations, both in the corporate sector at Colliers International (formerly WPM), and on the agency side at ALBA\REC Media and Communication.

"We are pleased with Monique's arrival. In our discussions with her over the past period, her entrepreneurial spirit and broad experience with a wide range of stakeholders stood out. She has extensive experience in various municipal institutions and also in the commercial field. We were looking for a connector with broad knowledge and expertise, and we found that in Monique," said Oswald Coene, chairman of the supervisory board of amsterdam&partners.

Wilson will succeed Geerte Udo, who announced her departure earlier this year and left the organisation on 1st May.
