Amsterdam’s Chapter secures €3M to launch AI operating system for sustainable energy
Tackling industry challenges with AI
Amsterdam-based SaaS startup Chapter has announced a €3 million funding round to accelerate the rollout of what it calls the “world’s first” AI-powered operating system for knowledge in the sustainable energy industry. Rubio Impact Ventures and CapitalT led the round, two investors committed to advancing impactful innovation.
Chapter, founded in 2021 by André Haardt and Rutger Laman Trip, is dedicated to accelerating the energy transition by transforming knowledge sharing and application. The company provides AI-driven solutions to optimise workflows, enhance efficiency, and address industry challenges like installer shortages, faster installation demands, and quality improvement.
Scaling for a sustainable future
Amsterdam is a rapidly growing city, and this funding underscores its position as a leading hub for sustainability and technology, driven by its increasing energy demands and thriving startup ecosystem. With the new investment, Chapter plans to expand its reach and advance the development of AI-driven tools to support the sustainable energy sector, accelerating global efforts toward achieving CO2 neutrality.
Chapter is part of a thriving local startup community that includes companies like Watermeln, which is advancing hydrogen generator technology, and notable energy innovators such as Brineworks, focused on ocean-based CO₂ removal through electrochemistry, and Spectral, specialising in smart energy solutions, including energy management, analytics, storage, and grids. Together, these startups are driving the energy transition forward.
