On May 5, ÁMÀL Ensemble will travel through the city as a connector between the various free Liberation festivals. Amal is the Arabic word for 'hope' (plural), and that is exactly what the band brings – an eclectic mix of Arabic themes, Latin American grooves and improvisational jazz that lets borders be forgotten and worlds connected. Come listen at various locations throughout the city!

On May 5th we celebrate freedom together with a special Freedom Meal at Pllek. At long tables we share stories, enjoy live music and listen to an inspiring Freedom Talk from our speaker. Together we reflect on the past, honor our freedom, but above all to talk to each other about the current freedoms and lack of freedoms that prevail in many areas of our lives and in the world.
