5 May Liberation Day - But whatever happens there is music - in Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ
Total theatre on 5 square metres, by Olga Zuiderhoek + Gerard Bouwhuis. Text, music and images, often funny, sometimes devastatingly sad, but in any case: there is music! Gerard plays and Olga explains why. 'The 20th century has 2 world wars, I missed them both, how lucky can you be.'

Olga's favorite song
But whatever happens, music sounds is the chorus of Wintertenen, luizen en eczema, de tyfus en de kanker en de flu by Ischa Meijer, Olga's favorite song. It became the title of this program by actress Olga Zuiderhoek about music from her 20th century. She wanted Gerard Bouwhuis for the music, which is what it's all about: Antheil, Andriessen, Breuker, Gershwin, Johnny & Jones and of course Stravinsky. They let the dead play along; Gerard plays with Breuker, Olga sings with Ischa.
Please note: at the express request of the players, please do not bring children to the performance. The performance has been slightly modified for May 4 and 5.
