Guided tour: Pain in the Arts
In this free, interactive tour, the guide takes you through pain depicted in the art from the Rijksmuseum collection. Looking at art can help you better understand, recognize, and acknowledge pain in the broadest sense of the word. Art, therefore, has the potential to promote health and well-being. Please note: participation in the tour is free after purchasing an entrance ticket to the Rijksmuseum.

IASP World Pain Congress
The IASP World Pain Congress will be held in Amsterdam from August 5-9. Thousands of doctors, nurses, researchers, and policymakers from all over the world will come together to share the latest insights into pain. The Pain Alliance in the Netherlands (PA!N) is, of course, also among them. To let people in Amsterdam learn about part of the conference, the IMPACT PA!N 2024 program has been set up, with the aim of making an impact on the city's residents!
Program IMPACT PA!N 2024
With the support of I amsterdam, the Pain Alliance in the Netherlands (PA!N) organizes free activities for Amsterdam residents: for people with pain, their loved ones and all other interested parties. Dance workshops in the Vondelpark, weekly art tours in the Rijksmuseum, comedy shows in Boom Chicago, and of course science; in NEMO during the museum night... It is all on the program to get the general public to think about pain in an accessible way and how you can possibly influence your pain yourself.
