Paint a shirt with Ilfa Siebenhaar

Paint a shirt with vegetable scraps, such as avocado peels and seeds. This is how you create beautiful patterns. An old shirt will feel like new again after these workshops. Or that one boring shirt you never wear will become your new favourite item.

 Ilfa Siebenhaar

Designer Ilfa Siebenhaar is a textile dye specialist. She dyes textiles with bacteria from nature, but also with plant waste streams, such as flowers and onion peels. With these, she mostly creates unique collections on commission for companies like Puma and together with other fashion brands like shoe brand SKUA.

But did you know that you can also quite easily get started with this dyeing technique yourself? During this workshop, Ilfa introduces you to dyeing textiles with plant-based waste streams.

You will dye a shirt with vegetable retst streams from good food bar SLA, located on Haarlemmerdijk - a few metres from the pop-up store.

All you need is a white or light-coloured shirt that you want to breathe new life into and wear more often. Don't have an old shirt lying around, but still want to join the workshop? No problem, we have beautiful organic cotton t-shirts you can get started with this dyeing technique!
