Amsterdam Mini Queer Shibari Festival

Exploring sexuality within your local community

LolaLieven is kicking off the year with a brand new festival that brings the local community together. Expect a fun and educational experience that looks inward into our bodies, exploring sweetness in contortions, bendings and restrictions. Shut your eyes and ears, and sense the rope handled by lovers and friends. Come together with people who are interested in the practice of rope bondage. Create a conversation by using the rope, and connect bodies by escalating intimacy. This festival is defined by an interest in sex and sexuality beyond the binary.

There will be three workshops and five performances during the festival. The Amsterdam Shibari Festival intends to increase the visibility of LGBTQI+ programming in Nieuw-West. A certain number of community tickets is kept available for local queers, so that they can attend the festival at a discounted price.
