Alexandra Nepomnyashchaya
Harpsichordist Alexandra Nepomnyashchaya pays tribute to two great 18th-century composers, Gottlieb Muffat and Johann Sebastian Bach. For composers from before the 20th century, each key had specific meanings and feelings. In this programme in De Waalse Kerk, the audience is taken on an emotional journey through all these meanings and feelings. Sometimes the music is dramatic and devilishly virtuoso, at other times it is feather-light, subtle or exuberant. NB The end time mentioned is an indication.
