Barock at Begijnhof

The Horizon Ensemble – Kate Clark – flute, Cassandra Luckhardt – viola da Gamba and Kathryn Cok – harpsichord, will play a recital of baroque chamber music by Bach, Telemann, Marais, Couperin and Forqueray. Beautiful music in an intimate setting. A complementary drink and chocolate are included.

About the Horizon Ensemble

The Horizon Ensemble consists of 3 internationally renowned musicians who live, perform and teach in the Netherlands and who specialize in the performance of early music on historical instruments. They play with humor, tenderness and virtuosity. Tickets for the concert can be purchased at the door of the English Reformed Church.

This programme features French and German solo and trio sonatas from the 18th century, in which the warm sound of the wooden flute that Bach knew is combined with the rich voice of the viola da gamba and the brilliance of the harpsichord.
