Chris Smither

Chris Smither was born in New Orleans during World War II. In his early twenties he threw his studies overboard and went to Boston, where acoustic folk and blues flooded the streets. Music movements in which he would develop over the course of decades into a true master. Please note: the stated end time is subject to change.

Acoustic music master

In the early 90s, Smither's extensive touring and album releases had made him a respected musician in acoustic music. Last May, his 20th album 'All About The Bones' saw the light of day. The record sounds baroque and sober at the same time. It is a collection of Smither's baritone voice and driving guitar playing, saxophone from jazz legend Chris Cheek, Zak Trojano's drumming and BettySoo's harmonious vocals.
