The Magnificent
Debut album Here Be Monsters from 2000 received a nomination for the Mercury Prize. Since then, nine new albums have been released, all of which flourish through the use of his dark sounds. Harcourt has played festivals worldwide, including Glastonbury, Latitude, End Of The Road, Primavera Sound and Lowlands and has worked with a wide range of artists. For example, he was musical director of Beck's Song Book Reader at the Barbican and The Beatles Sgt Pepper tribute at the Philharmonie de Paris and he was co-writer and producer for Paloma Faith, Marianne Faithfull, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Jamie Cullum, among others. The most recent El Magnifico was released in March and, like previous albums, has received much praise.
