Gerbrich Meijer & Michel Xie
Clarinetist Gerbrich Meijer - a former nominee of the Grachtenfestival - dares to play with the conventions of the classical recital. Works by Bernstein, Poulenc, and Samuelsson, among others, illustrate her treatise on the music and lives of the composers, complete with images and interaction with the audience. It was definitely a surprising concert. Today, she joins forces with pianist Michel Xie for a spectacular concert.

Theatre, image and interaction
As Dutch Classical Talent 23'-24' Gerbrich played the One-woman show, about which she spoke: 'The 'one-woman show' shows that classical music is not a distant performance and that today we have more similarities with music history and artists than we think. The classical expectations of a recital will be broadened. Influenced and inspired by various art forms, the performance will not necessarily proceed as the visitor had expected. Theatre, images and interaction with the audience make it an energetic hour filled with life stories of the composers.'
Please note: This concert will take place at the Zonzij Hall.
