This promises to be an unprecedented party!
At the invitation of Berima Amo, Grachtenfestival programmer David Grütter and talents Bnnyhunna, Tallulah Rose, and Peter Somuah travelled to Ghana to set up a 'cultural exchange project' between the Netherlands and Ghana. Here, they made music with local talent, performed and learned from old masters. One of these masters is Pat Thomas (1946), who is generally seen as the greatest singer in Ghanaian history. Together with Ebo Taylor, he was one of the major driving forces behind the development of Ghanaian music in the 1970s and 1980s.
The Grachtenfestival is proud that it now gives these young talents the opportunity to take the stage together with their heroes, Pat Thomas and Berima Amo, and give a dazzling show. To top it off, Amsterdam's finest DJ, KC the Funkaholic, will spin the evening with his gold records. This concert takes place in the Club.
