Bruckner's Symphony No. 3
In honour of the bicentenary of Anton Bruckner's birth, the GMJO will present Bruckner's Third Symphony this summer. It is a monumental piece in which overwhelming climaxes alternate with subdued, intimate passages. The Austrian composer dedicated the work to his idol Richard Wagner, prompting the GMJO to also play two famous fragments from Wagner's opera Parsifal.
