This edition is with Iris Hond. She is one of the most beloved pianists of our time. She makes television and runs an initiative that brings music to places where it normally does not go. Such as a homeless shelter, hospitals or prisons. In recent years she has had great success with her own pieces and with her interpretations of work by Einaudi.

Jan-Willem Rozenboom

The other pianist tonight is Jan-Willem Rozenboom who has been a pianist, composer and producer of Guus Meeuwis for 25 years. Together with him, he wrote many hits. It is less known that Rozenboom is one of the most talented classical pianists in the Netherlands. This became better known when Rozenboom released a well-received recording of Bach's Goldberg Variations in 2015. After a successful tour of the concert halls with this masterpiece, he devoted himself to Schubert for a year and a half, which led to a beautiful recording that was released in September 2019. Rozenboom alternates daily between his two disciplines, light and classical music. Two worlds that are apparently far apart but still have a lot to do with each other in the areas of interplay, interpretation, melody and harmony.
