JazzFest puts the Indische Buurt in the proverbial sun

In addition to the familiar Timorplein, with the StayOkay as the festival heart, this new edition will also feature stages around the Javaplein and the Javastraat in the beloved Indische Buurt of Amsterdam-Oost.

Jazzfest is not complete without the Young Maker. In 2025, that was Swedish double bassist Anja Gottberg. She succeeds River Adomeit, who together with Beatrice Sberna realized a special project within the Jazzfest New Makers program in 2024. Who will take over the baton from Young Maker in 2026 is not yet known.

JazzFest Amsterdam will definitely celebrate its 15th edition in 2026 with a packed program at more locations than ever before in the Indische Buurt.
