Junior Grachtenfestival: Beth & Flo (4+)
Beth & Flo are two special pianists. Cheerful and sometimes a bit crazy. They race over the keys with 20 fingers at the same time, but also play beautifully soft and dreamy. They are very good friends, but they also argue regularly. That doesn't matter, because while they argue they just keep playing (and you can hear how that sounds on the piano in this concert). Furthermore, Flo likes to imitate animal sounds on the piano, preferably dangerous, loud roaring ones, and Beth loves singing and blowing bubbles.

On the border between classical music and cabaret
With parts from the Carnaval des Animaux by Saint-Saëns and music by Ruben Naeff, Debussy, Mozart and Gershwin, this concert by Beth & Flo is a piano party for everyone!
Elsbet Remijn and Claudette Verhulst both studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. They are known for pushing the boundaries of the classical concert. In October 2020 they were in the Final of the Amsterdam Kleinkunst Festival. The jury described them as “a promising cabaret duo that cleverly combines classical music with beautiful scenes”. In addition to the concerts they give, they tour the theaters with a cabaret performance (of course packed with classical music). This concert takes place in the Zonzij hall.
