Kit Downes: Exhaust + SNAP II

The new phase of Dr. Snap is introduced with a set of the hard core (sax, piano, drums) under the name Exhaust. For the complete Dr. Snap II, mastermind Kit Downes switches from piano to Hammond B3 organ. The renewed seven-piece ensemble consists of improvising musicians from all over Europe, who interact with each other. Dr. Snap II is the sequel to the project that Downes started for the concert series REFLEX by BIMHUIS Productions. British pianist and organist Kit Downes receives much appreciation for his various albums on ECM Records. He has worked with, among others, drum 'n' bass pioneer Squarepusher, singer-songwriter Sam Amidon and jazz group Empirical. Downes has also composed for, among others, the London Contemporary Orchestra and Ensemble Klang. He previously played with us with the innovative piano trio ENEMY.
