Indie dancefloor favorites
His 2nd album, 'GENE' (2020), is named after the new analogue drum machine he has been working on for more than two years. While he has previously been inspired more by artists such as Ariel Pink and Aphex Twin, on this record, he says he can hear more from Arthur Russel, Prince and even Radiohead.
Also, two tracks from this album became indie dance floor favourites over the past two years after being released as a remix by Soulwax and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. After his interactive, sold-out concert in the Bovenzaal of Paradiso, where visitors were allowed to come on stage at the end of the concert to test out his synthesizers, LA Priest will return to Amsterdam in 2024 for a concert in Bitterzoet.
