Sustainable nature garden

Once upon a time... there was a vacant courtyard between the 'Jan Eef' and the 'Jan van Galen' in the Amsterdam Baarsjes, of approximately 1,600 m2. In 2011, local residents created a temporary 'Pop-Up Park' here.

They designed a sustainable natural garden with garden designers and architects. This created a heavenly urban oasis in the middle of the most densely populated part of Amsterdam.
