From theatre to music

Before she enjoyed success as a singer, she was in theatre. She has played a role in Dream Girls, Lion King and Tina Turner productions. After undergoing voice surgery, she decided to take a different path and make music.

Obsidian

With singles 'The Moon' and 'Breeze' she started to attract international attention. She recently signed, as the first woman, with OVO Sound and released her debut album 'Obsidian' under the label last September. Inspired by diverse influences, her music embodies a unique soul sound with global appeal. Named after the intense and protective volcanic rock obsidian, the album explores themes of love, heartache and healing with a mix of tranquil soul and uplifting songs. Sharon emphasizes the importance of vulnerability in the music industry and sees her album as an opportunity to create something beautiful from intense experiences.
