The six-piece band Nusantara Beat was founded in Amsterdam by musicians who feel connected to their Indonesian roots and culture. The band members have experience in several other bands, such as Jungle By Night, Pom and EUT.

Nusantara Beat creates tropical and mystical sounds inspired by traditional Indonesian songs from the 20th century. The band members combine their love for traditional Indonesian music with their own style and creativity, taking the audience on a journey to the land of their ancestors. With their music, they not only honour their own cultural heritage but show how rich and diverse Indonesian music is. Nusantara Beat is a band that pays tribute to traditional sounds but simultaneously takes the music into the future.
