Philip Glass in India Amsterdam Sinfonietta

Minimal music composer Philip Glass wrote his violin concerto The American Four Seasons as a companion piece to Vivaldi's famous The Four Seasons. Glass became fascinated by Indian music as early as the 1960s. In the Indian ragas the seasons have their specific improvisations.
