St John Passion by Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century & Cappella Amsterdam
Bach’s St John Passion is shorter than the famous St Matthew but more dramatic and compelling. Led by conductor Daniel Reuss, the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century and Cappella Amsterdam plunge into the emotional heights and depths of the story of the crucifixion. ‘The Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century played beautifully, with that characteristic sweet string sound,’ written by Het Parool (Dutch Newspaper) in 2022. So count on a special performance in the Muziekgebouw!
