Get to know this special sound world during the open rehearsal. In addition to their solo pieces, clarinetist Mark Simpson, cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras and pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard rehearse the central work of the evening, Allegro Sostenuto, together.

Discover the music of the last living modernist
Helmut Lachenmann (1935) studied in Stuttgart and Venice with Luigi Nono among others. His works premiered at prestigious festivals such as the Venice Biennale (1962). He taught in Hannover, Stuttgart and Harvard and received important prizes such as the Siemens Musikpreis (1997).
