Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet
Tonight, the Residentie Orchestra, conducted by Kerem Hasan, will perform the ever-popular romantic poem about the famous love couple Romeo and Juliet. Tchaikovsky does not follow Shakespeare's story literally. Still, he does conjure up a moving love story, from the passionate love scenes and the arguments between the two rival families to the inevitable tragic ending.
