Jelmer de Moed
The Doric String Quartet invites the Dutch clarinet virtuoso Jelmer de Moed for the Adèsian sound spectrum in Alchymia . Not only Adès learns from colleagues, Beethoven also studied other masters. His String Quartet op. 18 no. 5 is in A major; he modeled this piece on an early Mozart quartet in the same key.
The Selected by series offers large works – side by side, opposite each other; in connection with each other or contrasting. In an hour you will hear the full range of the string quartet: all times, styles, sounds and colors.
This concert will later be broadcast by NTR on NPO Klassiek
