Transcending boundaries and genres is the core business for Shishani. Accompanied by two virtuoso musicians, Shishani gives a taste of new work tonight, in which intimate soul-folk and electronically charged neo-soul grooves meet. Together with the improvisation skills of Nathan Klumperbeek and Julian Bohn, Shishani's special voice and powerful lyrics create a unique atmosphere of mysticism and experimentation.

Namibian roots music x electronic neo-soul
Shishani was born in Namibia and is based in Amsterdam. Hen not only works as an artist, but also conducts academic research into Namibia's musical heritage. With the bands Namibian Tales and Shakuar, they brought their research into the Namibian music tradition to the stage. Shishani is also the founder and frontperson of Miss Catharsis, which advocates for female and non-binary creators of colour.
