None other than the Syrian techno-meets-dabke icon, Omar Souleyman, headlines the bill of the first edition of the festival. The psychedelic space disco duo Ko Shin Moon is also on the program, as well as the Indonesian Precious Bloom, who will provide us with danceable Asian city pop combined with Indonesian disco melodies. DJ Nobody Knows, a specialist in soul, funk, house, techno, afro and Latin, ends the evening in the basement
Omar Souleyman
Omar Souleyman started his career as a wedding singer, but after the release of his debut album 'Wenu Wenu', produced by Four Tet, his star is rising. The successor, 'Bahdeni Nami', also enjoyed rave reviews. Through his lively melodies, supported by electronic arrangements and collaborations with greats such as Björk, Omar Souleyman has established himself as an icon in both Syrian and electronic music.
The 5th studio album 'Erbil', released last March, is a tribute to Erbil - the city in Iraq that gave him comfort and embraced Souleyman during recent uncertain times. The move to Erbil brought new experiences and friendships, which are best celebrated in joyful songs dedicated to a new chapter in life.
Please note: the end time is an indication.
