What Cannot Be Held features artworks by 11 artists. Their work is about what it means to be human in a world of change.

The themes are personal and recognizable

• How do relationships between people change?
• What happens to your identity when everything around you moves?
• What is the line between what is real and what you imagine?

The artists invite you to reflect on vulnerability. They show how we are connected to each other but also how we sometimes lose things or people. The art moves between dreams and reality, between nature and culture, and between what is visible and invisible.

The exhibition features the works of Danai Anesiadou, Anouk De Clercq, Lili Dujourie, Marie-Jo Lafontaine, Valérie Mannaerts, Angyvir Padilla, Edith Dekyndt, Katja Mater, Tramaine de Senna, An van. Dienderen and Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven.

Are you an Amsterdammer? Then you can do a short assignment during your visit. Afterwards, you can get a drink in the café at De Brakke Grond.
