Mu.ZEE manages the art collections of the city of Oostende and the Flemish Community and has a collection of more than 8,000 works that together provide an overview of the visual arts in Belgium from 1880 to the present.

A look into the Mu.ZEE collection
De Brakke Grond and Mu.ZEE will enter into a sustainable partnership over the next three years to show Flemish artists in the Netherlands. During the period that the museum in Ostend will be closed for renovation, Mu.ZEE will continue to open up its collection by entering into various partnerships in Belgium and beyond. De Brakke Grond and Mu.ZEE will invite a different Dutch curator each time to create an exhibition with contemporary work from the collection, which will be on display at De Brakke Grond in Amsterdam.
