MILK Muur: Inside The Ring
'Inside The Ring' is an ongoing photo and video series that began in 2016, after Ceren Saner migrated from Istanbul to Berlin. The series initially depicted her personal journey in a new city as a queer femme migrant, but has evolved into a visual diary that explores themes of belonging, identity and homecoming

Work that connects in a special way
Saner is driven by her commitment to commemorating and archiving stories that counter the rigid, binary, and cis-hetero-patriarchal framing of history.
Saner’s work reflects the multiplicity within queer, migrant and marginalized communities, with authenticity and care at the heart of her creative process. She was awarded the Neukölln Art Prize in Germany in 2024, taking first place for ‘Inside The Ring’. The jury praised her work for connecting the everyday lives of different generations and communities.
