Mieke Blits (ceramics)
Mieke shows work from her last 2 series: Objects for 1 flower (an ode to the beauty of 1 flower) and Monuments for Memories and Meditation (MMM series). These are a kind of temples, which can be used for meditation, with space for memories and relics. They can be placed or hung in different ways and are handmade from porcelain.
Juliette Erkelens (photography)
Juliette graduated cum laude from the Fotoacademie Amsterdam in 2007 with a portrait series made with polaroids. A recurring theme in her work is transience, which is expressed in the influence of time on the image. With her analogue photography she creates dreamed, tranquil landscapes and picturesque portraits, in which the imperfection and unpredictability of the polaroids resonate.
Marjolein Hoogerwaard (drawings)
'Since I discovered my love and talent for drawing, I have not stopped.' Marjolein draws, in addition to free work, both on commission for organizations and individuals. During the exhibition she presents a selection of pastel drawings with ink in a combination of abstract and figurative work with a story.
Maarten de Mink (mixed media)
From a predilection for organic forms, Maarten creates detailed mixed-media art. Rhythm, lyricism and a sense of timing are characteristics of his highly recognizable and lively works that have collage as their basis. There is a lot going on in these works, but still a form of stillness can be discovered. During SIX PACT, Maarten will show 18 smaller collages in color and a number of larger works in black and white.
Femke Moedt (paintings)
Amsterdam visual artist Moedt (who/whom) has been working on an introspective oeuvre related to gender since 2021. During SIX PACT, Femke will show a series of portraits in which the artist is not only concerned with physical appearance, but more importantly with translating a fragmented, inner world into expressive and meaningful (mixed media) paintings.
Erik Roggeveen (wooden objects)
Over the years, Erik has increasingly delved into shapes and lines from nature. Space and movement are key words in his life. He transforms wood into other shapes so that wood can be experienced in a new way. He also wants to make a case for existing wooden furniture. 'Dated wooden furniture can and should be given a second chance in this day and age.'
