The literary debut ('not the look for good friendships just like the tongues of dogs') by visual artist, social psychologist and failed comedian Marieke JR Coppens will be published on May 30. The book will be presented with a solo exhibition at Arti et Amicitiae during the Amsterdam Art Week from May 29 to June 7, with a dog afternoon as one of the highlights.

Work and conversations about friendship (and dog tongues)

The freely accessible multidisciplinary exhibition with various textile works, screen prints and sound works is entitled ' not the appearance for good friendships just like the tongues of the dogs', just like the book that is being published. The artist/writer is present daily from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. During the Amsterdam Art Week, several conversations are planned in the exhibition in which further discussions about friendship based on the book.

With a conversation about friendship with artists on Wednesday, May 29 at 3:00 PM. Thursday, May 30, 5:00 PM the Book Presentation is not the look for good friendships, just like the tongues of dogs. Friday, May 31, 3:00 PM a conversation about having friendship(s) with clothes. On Saturday, June 1, 3:00 PM, a conversation about friendship with books and on Sunday, June 2, 3:00 PM, a Dog Afternoon, to thank them for using their tongue for the title. Also a conversation about friendship with non-human animals. Can be followed outside via a large screen for dogs.
