Hari Minggu literally means Sunday. For many Moluccans in the Netherlands, Sundays are a warm memory of the past – dressing up for church, eating with the whole family at the grandparents, singing and making music together. In modern, urban life, that sense of community is missed.

A Sunday celebration of Moluccan art

During the Hari Minggu Festival, a new form is sought for these gatherings and a new interpretation of meaning and spirituality.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy a varied program with music, singing, dancing, spoken word and visual arts. Expect a day full of performances by talented Moluccan makers from the 3rd and 4th generation. Be surprised by new names, new work and unexpected compositions.
