Sunsets
Fancy enjoying a relaxed drink on a sultry summer evening while watching an exceptional film? Well you can, because this year once again we are screening films in the open air in the park next to the Eye building. This summer in our Sunsets screenings you can watch films in which the city is a character in itself.

Outdoor films
This summer, you can watch outdoors at sunset films in which the city has an important influence on the characters:
21 Aug - Amsterdam in Ciske de Rat (Guido Pieters, 1984, op 35mm uit de Eye-collectie)
22 Aug - Los Angeles in Point Break (Kathryn Bigelow, 1991)
23 Aug - suburbia in Ghost World (Terry Zwigoff, 2001)
24 Aug - Berlijn in Lola rennt (Tom Tykwer, 1998)
25 Aug - Neo-Tokyo in Akira (Katsuhiro Ôtomo, 1988)
We will be screening the films on a gigantic screen measuring 12 by 6 metres. Before each screening we show an eighties or nineties music video with a link to the main film. Catering is available on the site.
Practical information
Please note, you must book a ticket in advance: €7.50 standard, free for Cineville pass holders. The number of Cineville seats available is limited, so if you want to be sure of a seat book on time or buy a €7.50 ticket.
You will be given a recliner and a set of headphones; it is not possible to bring your own chair. The screenings start around 21:15. In the event of bad weather, a decision will be taken on the day on whether the screening will go ahead. We will then send a mailing out to all those people who have booked tickets.
