ARTIS Micropia
Did you know that about 200 grams of yourself are made up of microbes, and that there may be a trillion species of microbes living on Earth? To really understand the world, you can't skip the smallest organisms. Microbes are vital and incredibly fascinating.
More than 700 species of bacteria live in your mouth alone. What happens when you kiss someone? Step into the Kiss-O-Meter and discover it for yourself.
What do microbes eat? How long do they live? Every day at 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, the Micropia laboratory technicians tell interesting microbe facts in the museum and you can ask all your questions.
After a visit to ARTIS-Micropia you will never look at yourself or the world around you in the same way again.
