Romantic cello pieces and new concertino by Manuel Lipstein

Antonin Dvořák composed Waldesruhe and Rondo , full of Bohemian and Slavic elements, for his chamber music partner Hanuš Wihan, who also inspired him to compose his cello concerto. In the Siete canciones populares españolas, the folk music is even more directly audible and recognizable. The popular songs have already been arranged for all possible instruments, but never before for cello with winds. The Argentinian-German cellist and composer Manuel Lipstein will perform his own new concertino with the jongNBE.
