Het Zomeroffer (The Summer Sacrifice)

It's going to happen this summer: the car is going to die. He has brought us a lot, individual freedom, adventure, convenience and eroticism, but his time has come. He has to believe it. 'The Summer Sacrifice', to be seen in the Amsterdamse Bostheater in Amstelveen, is based on the famous 'Le Sacre du Printemps' (the Spring Sacrifice) by Igor Stravinsky. In a grand musical theatre spectacle in which theatre, music, song and dance merge into a contemporary but timeless ritual, our beloved car comes to its end. About De Warme Winkel

De Warme Winkel is undoubtedly the most controversial theatre company in the Netherlands. In 2019, they performed in the Amsterdam Bostheater with the acclaimed De Drie Musketeers, which broke all attendance records. Then they were spectacular and hilarious; now they go for monumental and poetic.

A large ensemble of actors, singers, and musicians takes on this extraordinary challenge together with the internationally renowned multi-talented Touki Delphine and master musicians from Asko|Schönberg.
