This is not a circus: Cyrrealism - Fenja Barteldres
Life is not always as we want or imagine it to be. Yet what at first seems unhappy can open new and beautiful paths.

Without screws
In Cyrrealism, a whole world unfolds from a single metal wheel. Fenja Barteldres, who graduated from Codarts Circus Arts in 2022, uses her Cyrwheel in a special way – without screws. This turns the round ring into a completely different device: wobbly and unstable, sometimes strangely bent, then agile as a snake, and sometimes disintegrated into separate parts. She is confronted with circumstances that force her to reinvent herself. The wheel becomes a metaphor to view the imperfections of life from a new perspective. A poetic solo with live music, in which new doors are discovered and opened. Watch the trailer here .
