An endless battle, fought by an untamable creature in a floral dress.

Accompanied by the Dahul. The drum that makes the ground move. Together stamping on the ground, letting it be heard that she was there, is there and will always be there. Representing immortality. She who represents existence. We celebrate, fight, let ourselves be carried away and stopped. We rise, we pass on, we are conscious, unconscious, while we always have and keep the danger in sight. The oppressed, wrapped in a body. What if you are exterminated, executed and oppressed every day? What does something look like that is always in survival mode?

Hope Wanted is a comic musical performance about seeking hope and comfort in times of chaos and crisis .

How do you make sure you don't become cynical? How do you keep hope when things don't look too rosy? What keeps you going? In this theatre performance, with music from the Middle East, TG Gouden Bergen investigates how they stay cheerful and light-hearted when there is very little to laugh about.
